About Doug

I'm Doug Hageman. Over the course of my career, I have been a lot of different things: political campagin manager, non-profit fundraiser, college instructor, lawyer. Two things unite these very different roles I have played.

The first is the value I place on thinking outside the box. My path through life has been unorthodox! But the beaten path doesn't get you anywhere new and my wealth of life and professional experience gives me a truly unique perspective.

The second is my drive to help build the world I want to live in. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been in the trenches fighting Portland's housing crisis by defending tenants facing eviction. I've taught writing, communications, and American Government to incarcerated community college students, helping empower them to think and talk about the world as they experience it. At the end of the day, helping people is what I do best.
